Chanel "Le Volume De Chanel" Mascara Review!

Hey everyone!

I've been using this Chanel mascara everyday for the past couple of weeks. If you have been following me for awhile, you know my favorite mascara recently has been the L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess. Seriously, I'm on my 3rd tube of that stuff and it's great! It's a drugstore mascara so it's affordable while at the same time it lengthens, gives volume, and is very black which I like. My only complaints, that I've picked up on lately, is it tends to flake just the tiniest bit. I noticed it sticking to my under eye concealer when I go to take my makeup off at night. Again, not very noticeable but still a pet peeve of mine. The second thing is this mascara doesn't separate my lashes as well as I'd like it to. I feel I have to work with it a little bit until I achieve the desired effect. I will continue buying this mascara until I find a drugstore one I love more!

If I'm going to spend the money on a high-end mascara, I like to have a 2nd alternative mascara that is cheaper too. Simply because I don't want to go through a tube of the high-end stuff so quickly. Hence, the L'Oreal mascara mentioned above. Now, most of us girls are always on the hunt for the perfect mascara! I couldn't tell you the number of different ones I've tried. I had heard so many good things about this Chanel mascara! I meant to purchase it and then sort of forgot about it but then a fellow Twitter follower of mine reminded me of this mascara and a little while later - I finally purchased it! You know how I said I like to have a 2nd alternative mascara so I don't use the high-end up so quickly? Well, I haven't been able to force myself to use my L'Oreal since I started using the Chanel. I'm serious - I can't do it. I LOVE, no not love, ADORE this mascara. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth every penny? Absolutely!

I've never had a mascara that separated my lashes so flawlessly! Part of this is the brush because the brush has a zillion tiny bristles that really get in there and separate and the other half is the formula of course. The formula is not clumpy at all! It makes my lashes super black, which I like, because I feel mascara needs to be super black and pigmented to really make your eyes pop. The more black the mascara, the better your eyeshadow stands out, the better your eye makeup looks! It gives me the longest, most separated, lashes I've EVER experienced with a mascara! Seriously, holy grail mascara right now! Everyone needs one of these babies in their makeup bag!

Now I'm not going to purchase a $30 mascara every time I run out. Of course I will continue to use my L'Oreal mascara once my Chanel is finished but I now know what mascara I'm running to when I want a little something extra! Chanel NEVER discontinue or change this mascara! It's PERFECT! ;)
