Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo/Conditioner Review!

Hey everyone!

You probably saw me post, about a week or so ago, a picture of the Herbal Essence Moroccan My Shine Shampoo/Conditioner that I had picked up at Rite Aid. This is a new line from Herbal Essences. I saw an ad for this line in a magazine I was reading and immediately knew I wanted to try them because they contained moroccan oil! Which is supposed to be super nourishing for your hair. A lot of moroccan oil products are higher end and more expensive so I was totally stoked Herbal Essences had an affordable option available! After a week of usage, I can honestly say this new line is nothing spectacular. While it smells great, I see no real improvement in my hair. As someone who uses heat on my hair daily, I need a good shampoo and conditioner. I've tried so many Herbal Essences shampoo/conditioner combo's over the years and none of them have ever WOWed me. They all smell AMAZING but that's about where it ends for me.

I remember the "old" Herbal Essences line before they changed the bottles. I used that stuff like no other in middle school. I literally curled my hair EVERYDAY in middle school and I felt the Herbal Essences shampoo/conditioner was one of the reasons why my hair would hold curl so well. I feel Herbal Essences offered much better products then than they do now. But I need more from a shampoo and conditioner than just making my hair smell good. With that said, I would not recommend the Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine duo.

If you would like a suggestion, I LOVE the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner! I can't remember the name right now, haha, but it is in my favorites video coming up later today! It's the line in the red bottles. It makes my hair stronger! I feel I have less "fallout" when I use this duo and much less breakage. I love trying new haircare products but I ALWAYS end up going back to the John Frieda. :)

  1. Wow I just bought it and I've been using it for two days and it's done a wonderful job. Not something that Wowed me like you said but it's made my hair softer and shinier because it was kinda dull. I had been using some expensive shampoo to moisturize and everything but it only made it softer but not shinier. Overall I'm happy with the results but I guess it works different on different heads so just try it, not really expensive (I'm on a budget). Good luck!
