Hobby Lobby Say What?

Hey everybody!

I made a trip to Hobby Lobby yesterday to hopefully find the perfect picture/mirror/canvas for my guest bath. I've been looking FOREVER to find the perfect fit to hang on this specific wall for nearly 2 years, which is how long my house has been built. After 2 years, I've still found nothing that tickles my fancy enough to put in there. You could say I'm very picky haha! Anyways, that's not what this post is about I promise. ;)

Immediately after walking into Hobby Lobby, I was sucked in by all the fall decor that is out. There was literally one aisle of July 4th decorations and the next 3-4 aisles were fall decorations. I made sure to hit every aisle of fallness! There were so many pumpkins, scarecrows, candles, fall wreaths, etc. I even came across an owl that I will have to go back for once the fall stuff goes on sale. I heart owls!

The next few aisles after all the glorious fall decorations were clearance items. Thinking nothing of the clearance merchandise, I ventured out into the main aisle and behold ... CHRISTMAS decorations!? Say what Hobby Lobby?  Fall, I can tolerate and even enjoy but would I mind if it was just a tad bit later before they rolled the fall decor out? Absolutely not! I like going through and seeing what I would like to come back for once the items are on sale but Christmas? This early? That's just downright annoying in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm the BIGGEST Christmas lover there is. For one, it's Jesus's birthday! Our Lord and Savior! For two, I decorate my house like mad at Christmas time! My entire attic consists of hardly anything but Christmas decorations! That being said, it's barely July. It's too early! Why must these retailers go from season to season so quickly? Why can't we enjoy spring, summer, fall, and winter all when the time is right? Oh well, what can you do?

Here are pictures, Christmas in July anyone? ;)

  1. I am so glad I am not the only one with an attic full of Christmas. I feel guilty at times for having so much and then the next year comes around and wammo, I buy a new something. The hallmark ornament premier is just a few weeks away and I am already making my list....not like I need a thing. These pics made me smile. Thanks for sharing them. tessie

    1. Haha! Well your making me feel better too because I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one lol. I buy new things every year too even thought they aren't needed. Christmas is really the only holiday, in my opinion, that offers so many decor choices therefore, this is the only holiday you can truly go all out on and decorate and have fun with it. That's what I tell myself :)
