Beauty Army & Birchbox Unboxing's!

Since I received these around the same time I thought I'd just do their unboxing's together! Again, if you're not familiar with Birchbox and Beauty Army, they are beauty subscriptions that you receive monthly for $10. The major difference between the two is with Birchbox, they surprise you with what you receive whereas Beauty Army, you get to choose your samples. I personally like to be surprised so if I was going to do just one I'd pick Birchbox. Both send/offer you samples based on the survey you take for them. So let's get into it...

Beauty Army: In this box, where I chose my samples, I picked New York Streets Dry Shampoo, NailLuv Gel Polish in Berry Sweetie, Mark Glow Baby Glow Hook-up Lip Gloss which comes with a Mark Hook-up Connector, Gatsby Ooh La La Raise Volume Shampoo, Skinn Cosmetics Color Touch Eye, Cheek, and Lip Glow in the shade Teen Tone, and Whip Hand Camo Collection Limited Edition Loose Pigment Eyeshadow which is an olive green shade.

I adore the Mark Hook-ups! In my last box I received the mascara and now I have the lip gloss to hook up to it. Great for traveling or just throwing in your purse!

Birchbox: I recieved in it the Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle, Coola Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face, Joie Folle de Joie Eau de Parfum, Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner, and Tweezerman Matchbox Itty Bitty Nail Files.

I'm most excited for the perfume and the beauty protector! I use heat on my hair all the time so I love trying products that give it moisture and protect it from heat. The perfume I sprayed on my wrist and at first I thought I didn't really care for it because it was too floral for my tastes but now ... it's dried and it smells AMAZING! It's a light floral, a very delicate scent, soooo nice! Bummed that it costs $98 for the full size bottle!? That's crazy!

Birchbox also gives you details about the items you received where Beauty Army doesn't so this is also another plus for Birchbox! Info...

~Beauty Protector: Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixir locks in color, adds shine, and instantly detangles. Full-size, $21.95
~Coola: This mineral sunblock is infused with organic antiaging ingredients like evening primrose extract and borage seed oil. Full-size, $32
~Joie: For its debut scent, the chic fashion brand created this carefree mix of mandarin, rose, and sandalwood. Full-size, $98
~Sumita: Inspired by traditional Indian formuals, this velvety liner glides on easily and lasts for hours. Set of 4 mini pencils, $21
~Tweezerman: Keeo these cute mini nail files in your purse to fix mani mishaps. Full-size, $5

Are there any beauty subscriptions you guys are signed up for? Any you do or don't recommend? :)

  1. Hey Kelley, I also subscribe to bb and my products were all the same except my lifestyle item was the pilot ink pen, which writes a cute pink color, but I can't use it at work!
I also subscribe to Ipsy... idk if you have heard of it??

    1. I'd rather have had the pink pen lol than the nail files. :) I haven't heard of Ipsy?? Do you like it?

  2. LOVE Ipsy! It used to be called MyGlam, not really sure why the name was changed. But, it's also $10 a month and it comes in a cute pink mailer & you also get a little cosmetics bag. The only thing with Ipsy is sometimes they have lesser known brands, whereas with bb you know you are generally getting something more on the higher end.

    1. Thanks for sharing! I think I'm going to have to check it out! I think it sounds like a box I would personally like more than the Beauty Army box. And I do enjoy the Birchbox. :)
